Our latest Lunch & Learn discusses the influence that leadership has on our procedures. Our Founder, Steve McCord, draws inspiration from New York Times bestselling author, speaker, and leadership coach John Maxwell to share the foundational truths of leadership, the attributes of an effective leader, and how you can apply these qualities to procedure writing.

Steve shares insights into “The Law of the Lid” – a theory to measure the value of leadership. This theory states that one’s leadership ability is the lid that determines a person’s level of effectiveness. John Maxwell states, “The lower an individual’s ability to lead, the lower the lid on his potential. The higher the individual’s ability to lead, the higher the lid on his potential.”

Steve further discusses how influence is the measure of true leadership and that if your procedures are not written at a high-quality level that makes folks want to participate, you will not be able to be an effective leader.

We had fun putting these videos together, and we hope you enjoy them too!
